INTERMAT, the world’s third largest construction/heavy equipment trade show is in full gear in Paris. This year 37 countries are represented with 1484 exhibitors showcasing their products from April 20-25 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.

Like ConExpo, INTERMAT happens every three years and attracts visitors and manufacturers from all corners of the globe.

Organizers are forecasting over 200,000 attendees over the six days of the exhibition. In spite of a gloomy regional industry outlook, France seems to have a number of large construction projects in the short/medium-term pipeline including urban redevelopment and rapid transit projects which should entice the appetite of the main heavy equipment providers.

In addition to the indoor exhibition area, heavyweights like Hyundai, Komatsu, Volvo and Palfinger are demonstrating the power of their worksite machinery in a 30,000 sq. meter outdoor area, giving attendees a chance to see them in real-life worksite conditions.
