GPS 2015 bannerGlobal Petroleum Show 2015, one of the world’s largest oil & gas industry gatherings, is currently underway in Calgary, with emerging technologies and a diverse range of products and services on display for over 50,000 attendees from 100 countries.

This year’s theme asks that companies “Reimagine, Reinvent, Reposition” themselves in light of ongoing industry challenges. There is no question that falling oil prices have impacted economies and unemployment but Canadian oil production outlook is still robust, expected to reach 5.3 million barrels/day by 2030 in spite of having stalled multibillion-dollar pipeline proposals.

Companies we’re meeting at GPS are cautiously optimistic about the future and finding new, innovative ways to remain relevant and competitive while exhibiting a responsible level of restraint.

Conversations on the show floor revolve around using equipment efficiently and implementing operational practices that allow for proactive maintenance and optimized usage. Backup satellite communications are well sought after as corporations recognize the need for uninterrupted connectivity for critical SCADA applications, fixed equipment and oil & gas fleets.

We’re discussing these and other important themes related to remote monitoring for oil & gas assets at our booth in the Ontario pavilion, #7413. Drop by from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to see a demo of our fleet management and SCADA solutions.

Not going to be at the show? Schedule a Demo with one of our remote monitoring experts at a time that’s convenient for you.
